Supporting your child’s communication journey…

Every child is unique, and so is their communication journey; that’s why we offer highly individualised goals and therapy to meet them where they are. We provide in-person support in your home or your child’s education setting. Assessment and therapy are based around your child’s strengths, needs and interests. Whether your child is exploring how to express themselves, understand others or developing clearer speech, we’re here to support them and you with care and evidence-based practice.

Why choose Sunny SLT?

We support children aged 2-16 who are experiencing any form of speech, language or communication difficulties, working with families at home or in educational settings such as nurseries, childminders and schools.

  • Our therapy sessions are based on the most recent and effective intervention strategies. They are delivered through fun and engaging activities, utilising knowledge and skills to maximise the progress your child will make.

  • We know that children learn best when their targets are meaningful to them and carefully monitored. We ensure that each child has an individualised therapy plan, which is regularly reviewed to assess progress and meet their specific needs and goals.

  • We understand that parents and families play a central role in supporting their child’s development. That’s why we offer a family-centred and holistic approach, making sure that families are informed and fully involved in the therapy process. Resources and practical strategies are shared to continue the progress at home.

  • This is a free, no obligation phone call to help understand your child’s circumstances and to help you decide if Speech and Language Therapy is right for you.

Complete the contact information to arrange a FREE 15-minute consultation call.

  • We’ll begin with a friendly conversation to learn more about your child’s development and any concerns that you have. From there, your therapist will carry out a detailed assessment using a combination of formal and informal approaches tailored to your child.

Following this, you will receive a clear written report (included in the fee) that explains the assessment results and outlines the next steps.

  • Sessions are engaging, fun and tailored to your child’s interests. Sessions are offered in blocks of 8 or 10 and designed around an individualised therapy plan.

Sessions are 45 minutes and include time at the end to discuss progress and share simple strategies for use at home/school. Included in the session fee is liaison with school staff and parents to ensure that everyone can work together to support the child.

Therapy can be offered weekly, with appointments held at the same time every week to keep therapy consistent and easy to manage. It can be provided either at home or at your child’s nursery or school.

  • An extensive report will include more in-depth information and recommendations than the summary report provided at the initial assessment. The extensive report can be used as supporting evidence for children on the neurodevelopmental pathway and/or as part of an EHCP application or annual review.

  • We know that children are a ‘developing picture’; the more they grow, the more we learn

about their strengths and needs. We believe that collaborating with NHS therapists and

medical practitioners helps to ensure that our children receive a holistic approach to support

their communication and overall well-being. We will guide and support you in liaising with

other services that can support your child’s development, communication and well-being.
